Oliver Ard from the Clyde Maru - Hellship

My grandfather was PFC Oliver Ard - "#146" on the Clyde Maru, Hellship - part of "CAC 60th - K" - and a POW at Fukuoka #17.

My grandfather is deceased - and I just started researching all of this after finding some letters from a one armed Japanese vet that were written to my grandfather after the war. Does anyone know anything about this guard?

Most importantly, did anyone know my grandfather or does anyone know anything about Battery "K" (Kingston)? I can't seem to find ANYthing about that Battery at all.
