Hi, No expert and not related.

Is this him? If so, spelling is Lloyd instead of Llyod. If it is him, you could try to write for his military records as supposedly letter B didn't burn in the fire of 1973. Complete the Standard Form 180 in the link below after you have gathered all the information you can. And his ASN below probably changed when he became an officer.

Also, if he had a military burial, if the person you are wanting to find information on has passed, check with the Sexton of the Cemetery where he is buried, any military groups such as VFW and VA to see if they have any records, and the state archives and or county clerk of his home state at the time of the war and/or where he settled after the war as they may have his enlistment and discharge information if he registered it.
