Reid, Donald Canada WWII

I'm trying to find information on Donald Reid who was stationed at CFB Esquimalt or Comox, British Columbia in 1944. I have one picture of him that some say the uniform is Air Force or possibly Army. I'm told he is either Scottish or of Scottish heritage. The curator at the Esquimalt Museum believes he might have been a jumper or attached to a jumper unit that was involved in heavy training in the spring of 1944 at this base. I have checked the Book of Rememberance and his name is not listed as a casualty of war. I would love to hear from anyone with advice or knowledge of this elusive ancestor!
