Hello:
I have my dad's (George Newman) photos from WWII. Only a few of his army buddies have been named, and I would like to hear from anyone else who has connections to this battalion so that I can send you some pics and (hopefully) identify some of the other people. Dad has Alheimer's now, and it stresses him too much to talk about the war (although he has never talked much about it.)
The names I have are Ivan Roy; Leonard E Brothers, Smithfield TX; Hubert Simons (Dad's best friend): J. Jaggers
Dad was a transport driver and delivered supplies, equipment & men to the front lines. He saw his best friend, Hubert Simons, get blown up right in front of him.
I also have quite a few pics from Basic Training at Camp Legune and from Germany.
