I am a great-great granddaughter of George Harrison, who traveled with the Martin Handcart Co. As the story goes, when the party neared Fort Laramie, 12 year-old George, being too ill to travel on, was left behind with Indians. He stayed with them for 1-2 years, before joining the army and meeting up with his family.

I have several histories and some photos. I'd love to hear more about your project.

Sincerely,

Joni Payne
