I'm searching for information about my Wyoming family. My great-grandparents were Rose Shuchman (b. May 6, 1880 in Chicago, IL d. Sept. 1, 1970 in Wyoming)and James Watt Thompson (b. Oct. 24, 1878 in Boston, MA d. Nov. 3, 1946 in Casper, WY). James was sheriff of Fremont County (Shoshoni) from 1930-1934 and well known for "keeping the peace". Her parents were Joseph Shuchman and Barbara Fail from Bohemia who moved to Chicago just before Rose was born. His parents were Thomas Arthur Thompson and Janet Mae Greer "Mary Jane". Rose and James Thompson lived in Shoshoni for many years. They eventually divorced and James re-married. Rose and James had a son, Keith Leroy Thompson (b. 1918 d. July 5, 1963) who was my grandfather. Keith was married first to Betty Killebrew and had two sons, Jim and Jerry. He later married Maxine McDonald and they had a daughter, Celia. The family lived in Worland for many years and Celia lived with her aunt (Madeline McDonald) after her father died. I would like any information about Keith's birth and the marriage of Rose to James in 1912, or any information anyone has. Maxine McDonald's parents were Nina Lane and Dan McDonald. Maxine had 5 brothers and one sister.
My other great-grandparents were Henry Charles Olson and Olive Baney who lived in Greybull for many years. Their daughter Frances is my grandmother. They also had a son, Donald Olson who has farmed in the Greybull valley for many years until recently. Frances married Merrill H Johnson son of Merrill Benjamin Johnson and Salina Bell McKinney. Fran and Merrill lived in Greybull for a few years and had 4 children. Then they moved to Illinois.
