Thanks for the reply but as far as I know at this time, the family I am looking for information about all moved to B.C.Canada in the early 1900s. Maki is a very common name in the Finnish community. It means " Hill". Usually has a prefix such as Wali, Pitka, Loukas, and scores of others. Thanks again
