Pistotnik family - all over the world?

Hi!

7 years ago I started to look for my ancestors - so I began family research.

I´am from Germany / Saxony / Chemnitz (former called Karl-Marx-Stadt).
The name Pistotnik isn´t much used here in Germany.

I know that these name is originally from Slovenia.
Some of them came from Stari trg / Slovenj Gradec or smartno pri Slovenj Gradcu. Another is Ravne na
Koroskem.
In Austria I have some people in Pichling, Köflach (Koeflach, Leoben, Salzburg, Schwarzsach, Trofaiach, Voitsberg, Neuhäusel (Neuhaeusel)

In the 18th century the Pistoniks began to settle around the world. Now you can find the name mainly in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, USA, Canada (to name some of them)

If anyone is also looking for his ancestors called "Pistotnik" - just let me know - perhaps we have the same ancestors?

If you want to write me - just send a mail at apistotnik@freenet.de - I would be ver glad!

hope to hear from anyone who can help me in my family research

Andre Pistotnik
