There is no census for 1890 for Wyoming and most of the US. The 1890 census burned in 1921 in an office building in Washington DC along with the 1890 Union Vet census for states Alabama-Kansas. Kentucky thru Wyoming were saved. I doubt if your man was a Union Vet; if I recall the message he came to US as an emigrant. If he was working coal mines during that time period, chances are he was in Carbon Co, Wy. working in Hanna or Carbon mines, or Sweetwater Co, working near Rock Springs, Wy., or in then Uinta Co, (now Lincoln Co) working at Diamondville, Kemmerer, Wy. or Cumberland or Almy, Wy. These mines were part of the Union Pacific Railroad holdings and the coal was mined to run the trains, and of course to sell. If you need other info, e mail me at SLassField@aol.com. Any messages on Wy. Gen Forum goes to another lady that our addresses have gotten put together by error, and so far we can't find a way to correct it! Thank you. Sharon
