You might try writing to the US Dept. of the Interior, National Park Service. Park Historian Yellowstone Nat. park, 82190. The last correspondence I had was with a Tom Tankersley, the Park Historian, but that was in 1989 and he may no longer be there. There will be a historian at the Park, however. From the list of burials he sent me, there were military men from Co, I, 6th Cav. in the list. The military men were moved from Fort Yellowstone Cemetery to the Custer Battlefield Cemetery in 1917.
