My great granduncle, Patrick Brophy travelled to the U.S.A.from Newtown, near Knock, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary in the late 19th century and he did not return or contact his family in Ireland. His parents died in the Great Famine and he was reared with his brother James by a Quaker family, Newenham and Frances Davis. One entry under 'Irish/British immigrants to America 1870-1872' is for a Patrick Brophy age 28 years arrived on ship 'Wyoming' on April 22nd 1872.
Can anyone help with information on his relatives?
