No relation....

The only sure thing I could find on him, other than info from the SSDI, was the following:

U.S. World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946 Record
Name: Elbert B Walker
Birth Year: 1918
Race: White, citizen
Enlistment State: Wyoming
Enlistment County or City: Goshen
Enlistment Date: 24 Feb 1941
Enlistment State: Wyoming
Enlistment City: Torrington
Branch Code: Cavalry
Grade: Private
Component: National Guard (Officers, Warrant Officers, and Enlisted Men)
Source: National Guard
Education: Grammar school
Civil Occupation: Machinist* or Railway Mechanic, General or Engine Specialist (Machinist, Automobile) An asterisk (*) appearing after a job title indicates that a trade test for the particular occupation will be found in the United States Employment Service Manual, Oral T
Marital Status: Single, without dependents
Height: 68
Weight: 134

On census, no one by this name shows up in either Wyoming or Nebraska (1920 & 1930).

Since you have his date of death, have you obtained a copy of his death certificate?
Also, with info taken from the SSDI, you can apply to SSA to get a copy of his social security application. That should tell you the names of his parents, or at least, where he was born.

Then re-post your search for him...
