Amphitheater Built Mid-1950s Wyoming Dakotas?

Does anyone know the name and location of an amphitheater that was closed down a few years back either in Wyoming or South Dakota?

I am writing a biographical sketch and visited this in 1955 (when it was new), but can't remember where it was located between Salt Lake City and Mt. Rushmore.
