OBITUARY!
MRS. Aunt Jennie (BLACK) Moore, Oldham , Pitts. a resident of Fremont County for almost 65 Years, passed away at the home of Owen Lewis,. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Sunday Afternoon and interment was made at Mount Hope.
Liza Jane Black, was Born in Illinois Sept., 28th, 1857, and with her perents , came to Utah by wagon Train from Bridge Port Ill. in the early 1860's after the massacer in 1865 in Utah, she came to Wyoming Territory, With Gr.GR. Grand mother Mary Ann (King) Black Hufftile, They settled at Fort Stambaugh, the year 1866, in and around South Pass, City And Miners Delight, Wyoming Territory. Early in the 1870's she Met and in 1873 she married Gr. Uncle Benjamin Moore. Uncle Benjamin Moore was killed By Indians about a year Later after their Wedding, In the 1870's Mrs. Moore moved to Camp Browm, This today is Lander, Fremont, County, then it became Fort Washakie and There She Met Uncle Charles Oldham. Charles Oldham was Killed at Fort Washakie and His Widow was Married in 1888 to Uncle E.H.Pitts. Surviving is one Son and one Daugther, Charles H. Oldham of Lander , and Mrs. John Lisonbee of Nampa, Idaho; a Sister and two Brothers, Mrs. Margaret Rachel (Black) Mahr, My Great Grand Mother, of Bridger, Montana. Step Brother's Joe Huftile Mapleton, Oregon, and Mart Huftile of Lander. Mrs Pitts was a pioneer Mother, giving her kindly help and assistance to all in need. a true neighbor and a loyal friend. Better Believe It.
Casket bearers were Frank Snavely, Frank Holt, Jack Perrin, Bert Trosper and Tom Oswald. Relatives from Lander were unable to come for the Funeral.

Note! the Wyoming death Certificate index list another JENNIE E. PITTS, but she died at the age of 24 in 1918 in Basin, Wyoming God Bless! F. J. P. May My Great Aunt Jennie a Pioneer of Wyoming Rest in Peace.
