They almost always had large families back then. He not only was a blacksmith but a farmer and teacher as well. Very busy man I would say.
I also found in the newpaper on the Washakie rootsweb site the Abner's mother Christina Cave wife of this blacksmith, farmer & teacher cleared a question mark as to where she died. Right in Durham, Lewis Co.. MO where most of the Johnson's stayed. Some are still there. Thanks again.
Now if I can find the one in Colorado that file is complete.
