Holly, I know your post is quite old now but I am hoping you are still active in genealogy. My grandfather's name was Fredrick Xanders. He was born abt 1862 (this is just a guess). He fathered a daughter named Katherine Xanders born 7 Aug 1898 probably in Wayne Co., IL. I don't know if he married her mother. Can't find any record. Her mother's name was Mary (Mollie) Gaddy born 1864 probably in Lawrence Co. IL. I found Katherine's father on her death cert. I would like to know more about this line. Katherine's mother married a man named John Hedrick in 1902 - have record. So I have to wonder about the situration between Mary and Fredrick.... Would appreciate any light on this.
