Thanks for replying. Do you have your information from a sound source? I am descended from George and Christina Schumacher and have their daughter Magdalena married to a John Handner. I'm not quite sure where I picked up that information, but I don't think my source was a hundred percent accurate.

I have in my notes that a Jonathan Xander had something to do with George Schumacher's will. He was not the administrator - perhaps he was a witness. That got me interested in who was Jonathan Xander. I could only find him on the 1850 census - no wife mentioned. But Ziegel's church records the death of his daughter Mary Ann and lists her parents as Maria Schumacher and Jonathan Xander.

I've been trying to prove Christina Schumacher was a Kressley/Gressly because of the number of Kresslies the Schumacher family seems associated with. In fact, on the 1850 census for Jonathan Xander there is a child listed as Addison O. Gressly age 7.
