Hi Glynis
My Yabsleys come from Kingskerswell in Devon. William Courtenay Yabsley b1809 was the illegitimate son of Martha Yabsley. Martha was also born in Kingskerswell in 1775 to Peter and Elizabeth.
Although there are quite a few Yabsleys in this part of Devon it is still not a very common name.
