I have been told both stories about the name change. The funny thing about it with my side is that my grandfather's mother was a YADON but my Grandmother was a YADEN which confused the heck out of me, so after checking out different stories from my Grandmother before she past away I discoved that my Grandfather's mother's father (Josiah Robert YADON) and my Grandmother's father's father (Edmond (Edward) Chestnut YADEN) were brothers. So that made my Grandfather and Grandmother second cousins but we never really got the connection. It's amazing what a name change can do for a family. So do you think we should keep the spats down to a minimim. At least on my side I think so. Cousin Jeff
