Pleasant Cook (b.9 SEPT 1812,Tazewell, Grainger county, TN -d.November 11, 1896, Union county, TN) married 1st: Charlotte Lay (1816-1860) Oct 1833. He married 2nd: Sarah Sallie Nicely

He had 10 children with Charlotte Lay:

William James Cook b:1836

Newton J Cook b: 16 NOV 1838
Thomas F Cook b: 1841
Mary M Cook b: 1844
Cassa E Cook b: 1847
Easter or Ester Cook b: 1847

I think this couple may be Jacob and John's parents - they do not appear on the 1880 census
