Joseph Preston Yadon II(s/o Joseph Preston Yadon and Mary Susannah Pennebaker) married Phebe(sic) Cabbage (d/o John Cabbage, Revolutionary War Vet) in 1822 in Grainger county, Tennessee (now Union County). They lived on the Yadon farm and are buried in the Yadon cemetery near Maynardsville, Union County, Tennessee Their children: John Nelson Yadon (b. May 3, 1823)m. Salena Condry Anna Yadon (Aug. 03,1825-June 25,1850)m. John Marion Lewis Elizabeth Jane Yadon (b. November 30, 1829) Artie Mincy Yadon (Apr. 04,1832-Sept. 1910)m.Joseph B. Lewis Joseph Preson Yadon III (Dec.25,1834-Apr.9, 1886)m. Mary Butcher Mary Yadon (b. April 5, 1841) Phebe Catherine Yadon (b. Oct. 13, 1843) Rev. John Nelson Yadon (Baptist)was ". . . fairly educated and March 28, 1841, married Salena Condry, who was born in August, 1820 in Grainger (now Union)County." They were the parents of two sons and seven daughters. He bought half of his father's estate, and was a successful farmer. In 1858 he was ordained a minister and preached at the churches in Hickory Valley, Straight Creek, Spring Dale and Head of Barron (small communities in the area).
