from "Jamestown, ND, Sun" August 25, 1952 page 2 Mrs. Jessie Yaeger, pioneer resident, dies Saturday Mr. Jessie Gray Harper Yaeger, pioneer Jamestown citizen, died at her home 524 Fourth Avenue Southeast Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Yaeger was born in Portsoy, Banffshire, Scotland, April 1869. She attended school in Scotland and came to Jamestown in 1895. She had lived in Jamestown and Bloom township since that time. A member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Lady Washington Cahpter Order of the Eastern Star and Rebeccas, Mrs. Yaeger was very active in church work for years and was always giving a helping hand to those who needed it. Miss Jessie Harper and Thorsan C. Murray were married many years ago and he preceded her in death. She late rmarried Jacob Yaeger who also preceded her in death. A son, David Murray, died several years ago. Surviving are a grandson, Thomas Murray, St. Paul, who visited his grandmother Friday; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. George Safford [formerly Mrs. David Murray], St. Paul, MN; a brother, Robert Harper, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Ann Repper, England. The body will be at the Eddy Funeral Chapel. Burial was made in Highland Home Cemetery. Pallbearers: R.R. Wright C.E. Lowry G.R. Horton, Sr. K.R.
