I'm hoping someone can help me with my Yager line. My grandfather was born in 1911 in Western PA (Conifer) as Emil John Yager. His parents were John Yager and Anna Bordas. Family members have passed along a family story. I have been told that John believed he had killed a man and changed the family name to Sabol which was also a family name (possibly his mother's maiden name) to avoid being caught. The family then moved to Stamford, CT. I wondered if there were any Yager's with Sabol in their family line. If so, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!
