California. Now that's getting closer than the other bulletin board Yagers (all east coast). My Yagers are all from Ione, CA and Amador County, CA. I don't know if any of them moved down to San Diego. You live in Sacramento, which is not far from Ione. Yagers settled in Ione in the 1850s, straight from Sertig Valley, Switzerland.

I am the g-granddaughter of Peter Yager, born 1834 in Switzerland. All 8 of his children were born in Amador County, CA.
