I have recently discovered that I descend from Nikolaus Jager b.1678, Germany through his son Adam Yager b.1708, Falkenstein, Germany.

I am an Army Chaplain stationed Germany and discovered this week that Falkenstein is only about 15 minutes from where I live. I am planning to go there next weekend.

My line is:
Nikolaus JAGER b.1678, Germany
Adam YAGER b.1707, Falkenstein, GE
Michael YAGER b.1728, Orange Co, VA
John YAGER b.1750, Culpeper Co, VA
Reuben YAGER b.1780
Bartholomew Maclin YAGER b.1807, TN
John Clinton YAGER b.1836, MS
Louretta Eldora YEAGER b.1875, San Jacinto Co, TX
George Clinton SMITH b.1894, San Jacinto Co, TX
Eva Mae SMITH b.1918, San Jacinto Co, TX
Minnie Caroline MOODY b.1935, San Jacinto Co, TX
Danny Roule FRANKLIN b.1953, Panama Canal Zone

I had been stuck on John Clinton YAGER since about 1990 and had identified Bartholomew as a possible father, but it was in April of last year that I got some supporting evidence. At this point I'm totally indepted to others on the ancestry before Bartholomew and have not done independent research to verify the information I've received. I plan to start doing the research to verify that information and would appreciate additional information.
