Hi Bob - Just happened to run across your message re Charles Yahn. I don't recognize the name but the Yahn name is in my family.
My great grandfather, Sylvester Yahn, was born in 1838 and died in 1901.They came to America in either 1871 or 1878 and settled in the Crook, Colorada area. He has a bunch of relatives in that area who I just found out about just a few years ago.Sylvester was born at Crossenleder Kreiss Fulda, Germany. I'm not sure if this is near Hanover or not. My grandmother, who was his child, was named Mary Elizabeth Yahn and was born in Germany in 1864. Just wondered if you recognized any of these names since your family came from Germany too. If you have any information regarding these names I would love to hear from you. Thank you for your time.
