In reference to your Yake family that went to Canada. John Yake was born 1782 Strasbourg, Germany and died Aug. 14, 1840 and buried in the Yake Cemetery, Stouffville, Ontario. Since you live there you could maybe find it through the Markham Museum. It has a set of History Books you will find some information and also their archives would prove interesting. I too am researching Yake, Lehman, Pipher(Pfeiffer), Wismer, in Canada and US.
