American/Canadian Yakes Prior to 1790

I'm terribly interested in the Canadian Yakes. I have some scant information on a Daniel Yake (b. 1735, Alsacelorraine, Rhein Valley-d.1835, Stouffville(sp?), Canada). He apparently arrived in the US somewhere in the vicinity of PA or VA. I believe he then immigrated to Canada sometime after the American Revolution. Any more information on this branch would be very much appreciated.
