My grandparents were Edward Earhart Yakle and Grace Ellen Upchurch. Edward was one of 11 or 12 children born to Earhart and Christena (Bensink) Yakle. I do have the names of his brothers and sisters if you are interested. The only information I have on Christena is that she came to the US in 1863. I have not found names of Yakle or Bensink (or any variation of spelling) on any of the 1863 ship registers that I have seen on the Internet. The only tiny bit of info I have is that the ship was blown off course and was at sea for 90 days. Christena would have been about 21 in 1863 and my mother believes they had a baby born in Germany that died before they immigrated to US. I do have more information regarding this family after they arrived in US, but nothing about other family members who might have come with them.
