Hello,
I know there are various spellings of this line.. My family spells it Yeackel.. but I know that in Centerville, WA where most of my Yeackel relatives lived and are buried.. they split off to the Jackel and Jeackel spellings... ( A feud between two brothers). I don't see any info about my line of Yeackels.. but would like to know if anyone has any.. My grandmother was a Yeackel.. we go as far back as her great, great grandfather, Conrad Yeackel.. supposedly from Baden-Baden Germany originally. His son was also Conrad B. Yeackel.. born in Petersburg, Canada on July 3, 1850. He was married in Swift County, Minnesota to AMelia Heitz (native of Germany also. They later moved to Centerville, WA where they were one of the original settlers... I have a lot of video of the area and the cemetary that is almost entirely Jackels, Jeackles, and Yeackels. I also have pics of Conrad And Amelia on down.. I would love to know specifics about their line.. from Germany info.. and names prior to Conrad YEackel..
Thanks,
Maria
