This indenture made the Nineteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Eighteen, between Henry Yakey of Town of Merom And County of Sullivan of the one part, and James McClure of the County of Cumberland , State of Kentucky of the other part witnesseth that the said Henry Yakey for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred thirty four dollars, good and lawful money of the United States to me in hand paid by the said James McClure at or before the sealing and delivery here of the receipt where of I do hereby acknowledge, and bind said James his heirs and assigns thereof , forever Exonerate and discharge, have given, granted, bargained and sold, aliened, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do, give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm, unto the said James McClure his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract of land being and lying in said County of Cumberland on swan pond bottom South side of Cumberland River and Bounded as follows, to wit , Beginning at a stake at the north of the swan pond gut the north East corner of Samuel McClure’s Survey and running thence with his line S. 80 E. 155 poles to two small beeches and sweet gum on James McClures line, thence with his line N. 3 ½ E. 136 poles to a large Elm on the River Bank it being the lower corner of James McClures survey, thence down the river ending there on N. 45 W. 19 poles S. 80 W. 120 poles S. 20 W. 81 poles to the beginning containing one hundred acres, Together with all and singular, the rights, ____ and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and all the Estate, right, title, Interest, property, possession, claim and demand what so ever, either at Law or in equity, or otherwise how so ever, of the said Henry Yakey of, in or to the said tract or parcel of land and every part and parcel there of, with the appurtenances. To have and to hold the said parcel of land above described bargained and sold, and every part and parcel there of with the appurtenances, to the said James McClure by heirs and assigns to him and their own proper use and behalf for ever and the said Henry Yakey for him and his heirs, Executor and administrator, the said parcel of land and every part and parcel thereof, with the appurtenances, to the said James McClure his heirs and assigns forever, against all demand or demands by from or under him shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness where of the said party of the first part of these presents hath here unto ___ his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above.

State of Indiana} Be it Remembered, that on this day the nineteenth day of
Sullivan County} October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighteen before me the subscriber Justice of the Peace in and for said County, personally appeared the within named Henry Yakey, and acknowledged the written and fore going Indenture to be his voluntary act and Deed for the purposes there in mentioned. In Testimony whereof __ have here unto set our hand, and seal, the day and date above written.

State of Indiana } I Samuel Coleman Clerk of the Circuit Court In and for said
Sullivan county __} County, do certify that John _____ and George Boone whose names are inscribed to the fore going certificate are Justice of the peace in and for said County, and that did faith & credit is to be given to all their official transaction. In Testimony where of I have here ___ set my hand and affixed the seal of the said Court the 19th day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighteen.

State of Kentucky } I Ben B. Jefferson a Deputy Clerk of the Court, holden in
Cumberland County} and for the County aforesaid do certify that I have recorded the within deed of bargain and sale from Henry Yakey to James McClure, together with the certificate these on indorsed in my office in Deed Book D. page 22. Witness my hand this 12th day of April 1819.
