Maryrose, I'm not sure this will help. I have Guernsey Co., Ohio Yakeys in my background who were in Guernsey Co., they had a farm there in Richland Twp, near Gibson Station (the local RR depot). They intermarried with the Gibsons and the Weavers and some went to Taylor City, Tx. Where did they come from? The Weavers and several other of these families came in the early 1800s from Ballytrim, Killyleigh, County Down in northeast Ireland. In Hans Weaver's case, he was convicted of making 'pikes' (long wooden spears with a fire-hardened tips for use against the British, and a local sergeant advised him to 'get out of town' or he would be either hanged or "transported'(sent in a prison ship to Australia) Read: Rbt. Hughes very good book "The Fatal Shore" I can offer you info on our Yakeys, but we don't have an Andrew. Let me know if I can help. John Weaver
