Hi Bill,
I saw your reply on the Yalch genealogy web site. I was originally from Pittsburgh and I still have most of my family living there. My mother's maiden name is Yalch and her ancestors are from the Carpathian mountains somewhere. My mother married my father whose name is, of course, Biber. You might see some of the blue and white tow trucks running around Pittsburgh still. When my mother married my father in the 50's it was fashionable to not get married and be single their whole life. So when my mother was married, her whole family ostracized her, so we had very little contact with any relatives in Pittsburgh. She is still alive along with my father in Oakdale, outside of Pittsburgh, and two of my brothers and two sisters.
My grandfather on my mothers side was Demetruis and my grandmother was Mary (Gula). My mother sister is still in Pittsburgh.
