Dear Olive,
Who were John George Yallop's parents? My G Grandfather William Yallop was born at Grimston, N Nofolk in 1869. So far I have found his siblings as: Susannah Maria bc 1858, George James bc 1859, Harriett bc 1862 Dersingham, Arthur Edward b1867 (registration district Docking), Eleanor bc1876/8. They were the children of George Yallop, lab born Congham 1833 and Maria nee Hooks who was born at Anmer. George had a brother James (lab) born Congham c1829/30. The brothers also had a sister Harriet bc1834. There were other children, 3 died and 2 I haven't traced. Not all the children of George and James appear to have been registered. Both brothers and Harriett moved to Holbeach area. I have more information if you are interested, but I haven't managed to go much further back than the 1830's.
