Hello Jean, Thanks for the Yallop info you passed on. This is my maternal Grandmother's line. she was Sarah Yallop, daughter of John.
John was born in Dersingham as was his wife Emily, who was a widow with three children with the surname Wells, they had Sarah Jane (My Nan) and John. On the 1881 census the name is spelt Yallup, this,apart from a little info from an old Aunt, is all I have on the family. Hope to follow up with a visit to Dersingham next year.
I don't know if our families tie up, but there is a high possibility as they are all within a small area.Thanks again, I've printed off your info and will let you know if I find a tie. Yours Olive
