Hi Anna,
It is very likely that you are related to me. I lived in South Africa until immigrating to New Zealand in 2004.
My father was Leonard Yallup (son of George Yallup, son of William Thompson Yallup) and as I understand it most/if not all the Yallups in South Africa are related. William Thompson Yallup immigrated to South Africa from Bolton-on-Dearne.
William Thompson Yallup had these siblings:
Willie, Oscar, Edgar, Larrett (Doncaster birth records)
George and Claude (born in SA).
Larrett Yallup had these siblings: Eugene
Edgar Yallup had these siblings: Dora, hazel, Victor
Oscar Yallup had these siblings: Mavis, Edna, Raymond
Willie Yallup had these siblings: Ann, Gladys, Ethel
George Yallup had these siblings: Doreen, Leonard and Raymond
Claude Yallup had these siblings: Jessie, Roy
It get's a bit fuzzy at I trace back further to the UK. It looks like William Thompson Yallup was the son of William Yallup who was the son of John Yallup (shoemaker , Outwell). Thats about as far back as I am able to get and still need to establish a lot more details.
