Hello,
My great grandmother Frances Yamber emigrated from Bohemia sometime around 1900. She settled with her father in Nebraska. I suspect that Yamber was the Americanized version of her Czech surname.
Frances married Samuel Satterthwaite before 1903 and had 4 children: Frank, Eva, Genevieve, and Lauria. Frank died as a young child, and Frances died of double pneumonia before 1913.
Does anyone else know the origins of the Yamber surname?
