Looking to know about where my roots go to

I don't know if you all are aware but there's quite a few of us Yambo's in and around the Lawrence Massachuessetes area, the Arecibo area and up and down the East Coast. We migrating south to Florida now. I just came up on to this site lookin for any information on or about my last name, so I thought I'd let you know. My grandfather, Alfonso Yambo and my grandmother Magadalena Yambo are still in Arecibo right now, but my aunts and uncles are in south florida. I"m in the North West Florida close to Alabama. In anycase, if theres any information as to where did our last really came from I'd appreciate it so i can stop guessing if I'm st8 taino or Africano or both descendent.., Thanks
