My grandfather was Henry Ernest Yamnitz of Yount Mo. born April 17, 1883 and died March 20, 1962 when I was only 11 yrs. old, he married Cora Mae Calvird born Jan. 26, 1892 I believe from St. Francois, Mo.in Oct. 1911 and died in Clinton, Il. Dec. 1981. My father Clarence Sylvester was born Sept. 1912 in Yount, Mo. Henry and Cora divorced in 1915 and my father was put up for adoption. My father was adopted by the Torbert's of Illinois. I believe that Henry was the son of Ernest Fredrick Yamnitz and Johanna Maria Brickhaus, also think that Johanna was Ernest's second wife. Believe he was married to a Caroline Wilhelmine Bangert until her death in 1881.
Henry married a Rosetta Taylor after the divorce of my grandmother Cora, and believe they had children, but don't know of them. I know that Henry also had brothers and sisters, again don't know exactly what their's or their sibling's names might be or were they live.
Although my grandmother Cora Mae did'nt pass until 1981, she didn't talk much about her past life. My dad found his mother in Colorado sometime around 1937. After her husband Samual Thomas did in Colorado, she moved to Illinois. There is a large black hole in her past, from a child and after divorce from my Granfather Henry. If any one has any information to help fill this hole, I would apprieciate the info.
If anyone has information that would lead me to these relative, or a direction I could head would be helpful. I would apprieciate you passing on anything you might know about my grandfathers or grandmothers sides. Thanks, JT
