i am mildred yancey,s great great great grand daughter, she was married to edmund dillard page.i would like to express my condolences to the yancey families of virginia.my thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. my cousin john vanfechtman was in tower number six goldman sachs building when the twin towers were hit, he was on the twenty-ninth floor, and made it out, just before the towers came down.he told his people to get out of the building and get to safety, they got over to the water side of manhattan and took the ferry over to the new jersey side.he knew alot of the people that worked for cantor and fitzgerald, some of them lived in his neighbor- hood in middletown, new jersey.he lost alot of friends. john emailed me the same day after he got home and let me know that he was okay, and told me that he watched it all happen from his office window.his office building is severly damaged, the lobby windows are blown out and a part of the side of the office building is gone. i don,t know if they will attempt to restore the building or not.they are afraid that the ground basement floors are unstable where the trains and subways used to run through, the hudson bay might flood out the buildings. it,s a real mess there yet.but thank god my cousin made it out alive.again,my prayers and thought,s are with you in your time of grief.i,ve cried alot since it all happened, but it,s getting better.it will over time.if you need to talk,i,ll be here.sincerely carla jean page, cousin to the yancey family.
