It's been a long time since I have been on this forum but I still need answers. My ancestor, Rebecca Frances Yancey McMasters (05/10/1821 - 01/06/1885), was married to Jonathan McMasters. Evidently, they divorced because Jonathan showed up in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, with a different wife, Eliza Poteet. Their marriage is posted online as in 1850 (no documentation). His two older sons are with this family; they are the sons of Rebecca Frances Yancey; one of the sons, Uriah McMasters, is my great grandfather. I have lineage on Rebecca Frances Yancey as being the dau of Alfred Moore Yancey and Lucy Ann Yancey and on back. I want to find some type of record (divorce record would be great!) to show her life after her marriage to Jonathan McMasters. She shows up in a later census in Lawrence or Giles County, TN, as being Frances Flannigan, living with her parents. Any help will be appreciated - and I will be happy to share what I have also.
