Looking for descendants and people researching:

James Stuart Mitchell who married Ida Emma Yancey in Oregon County, Missouri either on 10 Jan 1899 or the 25 October 1898 most likely in Myrtle, Oregon Co, Missouri.

James and Ida had the following children that I have located so far.

1. Lillias Elizabeth Isabella Mitchell
Birth:        02 Feb 1900 Myrtle, Oregon, Missouri, USA
Death:        29 Jan 1952 Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, USA
Spouse: George Regnald Cariens married 3 Nov 1923 Johnson Co, Iowa.

2. Olive Jenny Mitchell
Birth:        08 Aug 1901 Myrtle, Oregon, Missouri, USA
Death: ?
Spouse: possibly Robert L. Carter married 4 Jun 1920

3. Arden Mitchell : birth and death dates are not known yet name appears on the obituary of his sister Lillias

4. William Mitchell : birth and death dates are not known yet name appears on the obituary of his sister Lillias.

James and Ida lived in Oak Grove Township, Oregon Co, Missouri on the 1900 federal census listed as:

J S Mitchell
Emma J Mitchell
Lillias J Mitchell
D L Robison ( brother in law of James S. Mitchell)

James purchased 145.48 acres in Oregon Co, Missouri on 15 Sept 1902.

At some point after 1902 he moved back to Iowa County, Iowa the death place of his parents Moses and Isabella Mitchell.

His obit in Marengo, Iowa says James is buried in Kozsta Cemetery but so far no headstone seems to exist.

Lillias E.I. Mitchell who married George Cariens had the following children:

1. Dorothy Jean Cariens
Birth:        08 Nov 1925
Death:        25 Mar 1992 Hennepin,Minnesota,USA

2. Arden Leo Cariens
Birth:        15 Apr 1934 Los Angeles, California
Death:        29 Jan 1952 Hennepin,Minnesota,USA

3. Milton Lloyd Cariens
Birth:        08 Aug 1935 Los Angeles, California
Death:        29 Jan 1952 Hennepin,Minnesota,USA

I believe the parents of Ida Emma Yancey are:

John Thomas YANCEY & Elizabeth HARTEN
