This site has been created in a effort to separate all the branches of the surname Yancey, with all variants, then to re-unite them, one piece at a time, into the World Association of Yancey Families. It was created on May 30, 1997, at which time a Mailing List for the discussion of all Yancey Family connections was started on RootsWeb under the name of YANCEY-L. Within this site, anytime the name Yancey is mentioned, it should be understood to include all variants. It is hoped that a Newsletter can be started in the near future to assemble and distribute Yancey information Worldwide. It is a merger start on a major project. It can only be as good and useful as all the Yancey Researchers want it to be!
