I am researching the Lewis Davis Yancy that was a Revolutionary War soldier. I would like to connect him with the first Yancy's to immigrate to America.

Here is my line.

Elizabeth Yancey was born in 1787 in Laurens Co., S. C. and died Sept 1857 in St. Clair Co., Alabama. She md. 17 Nov 1804 in Green Co. Georgia to Edward Wester. [see Wester] Ch: child, Lewis, EVALINE m. Edward Wester, Booker, Williamson, Andrew Jackson, Mary, Matilda, Nancy, Elizabeth, Celia Barthenia.

Lewis Davis Yancey was born in 1762 in Culpepper Co. Virginia. He died 6 June 1851 at Jasper Co. Georgia. He md. 1st before 1787 probably in Laurens Co. S. C. to Mary "Polly". Mary was born about 1765 probably in Laurens Co., S. C. and died after 22 Jan 1814. Lewis md. 2nd Rachel Hall 4 Aug 1814, and 3rd Phoebe Pate 27 June 1820, both in Jasper Co. Ga. Ch: by 1st wife: Winney, Lucy, Sarah, Richard, Benjamin, Layton, Mary, Drucilla, Unity, ELIZABETH, Lewis D., Delphi.
