This branch of the Yañez family tree goes back to the early 1800’s in the town of Cusihuiriachic, Chihuahua, Mexico. It begins with Jose Yañez who was married to Dolores Rivas. They had two children, Onofre ( -1911) and Flavia. I cannot account for Flavia’s life. In the neighboring town of San Francisco de Borja, Ysidoro Madrid was married to Serafina Rubio. They had two children, Gonzala Madrid de Rubio (1867-1944), and Isidoro Madrid ( -abt.1935) Onofre married Gonzala and they had four children, Rosendo (1890-1968), Roberto (1892-1930), David, and Alfredo. I cannot account for the lives of David and Alfredo. Rosendo married Mercedes de la Torre (1892-1973) in 1910. Mercedes was the daughter of Juan de la Torre and Amalia Casabilbaso de Tallabas from Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. She had one sibling named Dolores. Rosendo and Mercedes lived in Chihuahua where Rosendo operated a grocery store. They later migrated to the United States via Juarez, Mexico and settled in El Paso, TX. They had four children, Amelia (1910-2000), Carlos, my father (1911-1992), Rosendo (1913-1977) and David (1914-1919). Roberto married Angelina Armendariz de Ortiz (1896-1956) in 1923. Angelina was the daughter of Faustino Armendariz and Caratina Ortiz from Santa Cruz de Rosales, Chihuahau, Mexico. She had three brothers, Ricardo, Gustavo and Faustino, and a sister Maria. Roberto and Angelina migrated to the United States via Juarez, Mexico and settled in Southern California. They had three children, Roberto (1925-1931), Hector (1928-2004) and Caratina (1930- ) Notify Administrator about this message?
