My father was Francisco "Pancho" Yanez born 05/08/08 in a ranch called "La Purisa" near "la hacienda El Chamal" which is now La Pesca/Soto La Marina, Tamps.Mexico. His father was Victor Yanez and mother was Viviana Sanchez. Victor Yanez's parents were Julian Yanez and Nicolasa Escobedo. Viviana Sanchez was the daughter of Andres Sanchez and Petra Gallegos. Viviana died when the youngest child was 3.
Francisco was one of 6 children: Oldest brother name unknown, Nicolasa, twin sisters Petra & ?, Francisco and the baby name unknown. My grandfather married a second time and had other children. I only know the name of one: Aurelio Yanez, Soto la Marina, Mexico.
My father moved to Hidalgo,TX in the 30's and worked as a ranch foreman for Joe and later Bill Pate at "El Texano Ranch". He lived a great life and died at the age of 92,(November 2000)
