My family is Yankey. This family changed from Yankey to Yankee to Yankie and back to any of the choices. Jonathan Yankey, son of Jacob Yankey, moved to MO with his family.Jonathan was born Yankey, married, reportedly twice, as Yankee and died as Yankie! He had a son, William, that would be the age to father Ernest. I have not followed the Jonathan line but have a lot of earlier Yankey info. Contact me at baker9@cox.net
