William Fredrick Yankee married Mary Lucinda Reeves in Pettis County, Mo. Mary was l/2 Cherokee (?) and they met when William went to the OK territory to homestead. They had at least three children, Vallie, Ernest, and William Jewel. Mary died in 1919 (?) of the flu and she and William and William Jewel are buried in LaMonte, Mo. cemetary on hwy 13 between Warrensburg and Sediala, Mo. Anna Mildred Burtner Yankee is also buried in this family plot. Leonard Yankee (he must be getting up in years) lives in Sediala and I have not been able to contact him any time I have been to KC to see the kids. Ernest was married at least one time before Mildred, 1928, and then in 1935 he married Ethel Moir in Jefferson City, MO. Ernest may have served in WWI as he had a flag on his casket. Ernest is a close relative, according to his daughter Shirley, which I will look up her name and email when I return home. I have copies of Mother's pictures that Ramona has the originals. Have a wonderful day, and if I can sometime compare notes, it would be my pleasure. Becky
