The 1840 Mecklenberg Co., NC census has listed with Shem Yarborough family 2 males & 2 females under 5 years old. I wonder if these are the same children listed with Shem & Nelly Yarbrough in the 1850 Washington Co., Tn. census ? Could these children be the children of one of Shem & Nelly Yarborough s daughters that were raised by the grandparents ( Shem & Nelly ) ?? The reason I am asking - I have been searching for the parents of Clinton Yarber AKA Yarbor- Yarborough & Yarbrough for a long time & have hit that brick wall . Respectfully : Lloyd Watkins
