I am trying to identify the three children living with Shem and Nellie Yarborough in the 1850 Washington CO, TN census. My grandfather was Samuel Weeks, son of Thomas Weeks, from Sevier County, TN. On Samuel Weeks' death certificate and social security number application, his mother is listed as Polly Yarborough (Yarberry). She was born abt 1838 in North Carolina. Thomas Weeks and Mary (Polly) Yarbourough were married in Sevier County on 24 March 1859. Polly was married using the name Mary Heartly (Hartly). She was 21 at the time of her marriage so she could have previously been married to a Heartly. If she was the Polly living with Shem in 1850, then one of Shem's daughters could have married a Heartly. I see many of Shem's descendants in Cocke CO, TN, in later censuses. That is next to Sevier CO. My Weeks family is sometimes found living in Knoxville or Strawberry Plains.
